Dr. Young has over 45 years of experience in the areas of Clinical and Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice.  He is a Past National President (2000-2001) of the Association of Black Psychologists, and is a founding member (1977) of the Denver-Rocky Mountain Association of Black Psychologists.

Dr. Young’s educational background include B.A. in Experimental Psychology, from Millikin University (1975), M.A. in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University (1976), and a Psy.D. Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver – Graduate School of Professional Psychology (1990).

He is the recipient of numerous professional and community awards and is a Graduate of the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute (sponsored by the Center for Creative Leadership and the El Pomar Foundation) Class of 2000.
